sschulte@firststaffstaffing.com
Steve Schulte, President of FirstStaff, has been active in the Arkansas business community for a number of years. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Arkansas, as well as a Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law, Steve has a long and impressive academic career that enhances his ability to better serve FirstStaff's customers and employees. Steve’s leadership at companies such as ProStaff and Staffmark paved the way for his efforts to build a locally-based, service-oriented staffing firm with the ability to serve businesses through the state. With this goal in mind, Steve led the activities that formed FirstStaff following a January 2007 merger between SkillSpan Staffing and The Staffing Factor. Steve is an active and award-winning member of the Society for Human Resource Management, serving as a previous State Director of the organization. He has been a member of the Arkansas Staffing Association as well as the Central Arkansas Human Resources Association, serving as president of both organizations. Steve is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and was named as one of Arkansas Business’ 40 Under 40. He is a practicing attorney in Central Arkansas and a licensed member of the Arkansas Bar Association. Through his law practice, Steve focuses on labor and employment law, human resource consulting, business planning and transactions, and estate planning. A believer in community involvement, Steve is also the Vice President of the Humane Society of Pulaski County, an association which has introduced his home to more animals than he ever intended. Steve takes a hands-on approach at FirstStaff and would be happy to visit with potential customers to share why FirstStaff is Arkansas’s first choice for staffing.

Holley Little
(501) 978-5151
hlittle@firststaffstaffing.com
Holley Little has invested fifteen years building long-lasting relationships with the Central Arkansas business community. Holley, a graduate of Henderson State University with a degree in Communications, began her staffing career in 1994 with ProStaff as a Staffing Supervisor for industrial placement in Little Rock. Soon she became a Regional Recruiter, and after ProStaff transitioned to Staffmark, Holley was promoted to the position of Area Manager for Little Rock/North Little Rock/Hot Springs, which included several large on-site programs and retailers. In 2002, her career brought her to SkillSpan Staffing, where she helped expand the business from one Little Rock location to five Central Arkansas branches and two large on-sites. Holley particularly enjoys the day-to-day contact with customers and employees. She’s learned that trust is the key to a great business relationship and recognizes that all customers have a choice. She’s determined to provide a level of service that brings customers to
FirstStaff again and again. Holley is involved in CAHRA as the organization’s current President-Elect. She is also involved in ARSHRM as Foundation Director and is an alumnus of Leadership Saline County. She also is a board member with the Benton Chamber of Commerce. Bryan Borland
(501) 604-8180
bborland@firststaffstaffing.com
Bryan Borland and our team of specialists are willing to go the extra mile to make sure that when you think of staffing, you think of FirstStaff. Bryan graduated from Hendrix College in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Post-graduation, Bryan was recruited by Monticello attorney (and now Circuit Court Judge) Kenneth Johnson to serve as Johnson’s lead paralegal. In that role, Bryan was included as a part of a successful criminal defense and civil litigation team and assisted on numerous high-profile cases at both the state and federal level, including Pope County’s widely publicized Dirksmeyer murder case, which was featured on CNN, Fox News, CBS’s 48 Hours, and Dateline NBC. A desire to return to Central Arkansas and a shifting interest toward human resources brought Bryan to the staffing industry and FirstStaff, where he implements, oversees, and manages company-wide projects while promoting development through creative recruiting and marketing strategies. Bryan also continues legal work as part of FirstStaff CEO Steve Schulte’s law practice, which includes civil, probate, and domestic relations work. Bryan is also a published author whose poetry has been included in numerous journals, both in print and online. He thinks the secret of life can be found in the works of Walt Whitman.

mhavens@firststaffstaffing.com
At FirstStaff, we couldn’t function without Mitzi Havens. Simultaneously managing our payroll department and coordinating FirstStaff’s IT development, Mitzi, who has been with the company for over six years, is one of the reasons for FirstStaff’s continuous success. Before bringing her talents to the staffing industry, Mitzi, a Dale Carnegie graduate and UALR alumnus, gained valuable customer service experience through eight years in the health insurance industry, where she processed claims, provided customer support, and focused on market and provider relations. Her management and technical skills were developed during six years with a locally-owned and operated Document Management firm, where she specialized in computer/software setup, maintenance, and support while managing the office and overseeing all accounting functions in the early stages of the business. Applying her training and career experience to FirstStaff, she keeps our systems and network running smoothly while making sure all the numbers add up. When Mitzi takes a much deserved break from FirstStaff's corporate office, she spends quality time with her husband, daughter, and pugs. If you've got a question about the internal workings of FirstStaff, Mitzi is the one to call.

Deshondrick Vazquez

dvazquez@firststaffstaffing.com
Fort Smith's Deshondrick Vazquez finds her job extremely rewarding. She loves the service aspect of helping job seekers locate that perfect position, checking in with them on their first day on the job, and seeing them find success in employment. Deshondrick’s own diverse employment background means that she can relate with so many who walk through our doors – she’s spent time as a CNA, developed valuable communication and service skills in retail, and worked as a translator in industrial settings. Deshondrick uses these experiences to match the best candidates to the best positions, and it’s this personal touch from individuals like Deshondrick that helps make FirstStaff the fastest growing staffing company in Arkansas. When she's not providing high quality customer service at FirstStaff, she enjoys taking her girls to the park, staying in touch with her family, and watching Al Diablo Con Los Guapos on television. Looking for an opportunity in Fort Smith? Ask Deshondrick first!
Janet Iraburo
(479) 452-9292
jiraburo@firststaffstaffing.com
Janet Iraburo has learned to fill last-minute job orders from customers in a bind with quality employees eager to prove themselves – and do it quickly. The highly-demanding but equally-rewarding atmosphere of FirstStaff is part of the reason she loves her job so much. Janet has watched her confidence grow alongside the company, and in performing the duties of her job, she’s learned things about herself and what she can accomplish. Prior to her current position with FirstStaff, Janet worked as an interpreter with the Health Department before being introduced to staffing at a competing company, but once we met her, we had to have her. Janet particularly enjoys the “team-atmosphere” of FirstStaff and looks forward to our continued growth and success. Janet makes sure to balance her work with her family – and part of that balance means taking her daughter to Chuck E. Cheese’s twice a week. If you are looking for dependable service, look no further than Janet Iraburo of our Fort Smith branch.
