Central Arkansas Community Notice: Humane Society of Pulaski County

Don’t know what to do with old sheets, rags, and shirts? Consider donating them to the Humane Society of Pulaski County. The many dogs and cats who call the shelter home would love to curl up in your old laundry. Don’t throw it out! Contact the Humane Society of Pulaski County at info@warmhearts.org to arrange for a donation!

Revised I-9 Available

The U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) recently announced that a revised I-9 form is now available for use.  Employers should note that the changes to the I-9 form deal with the list of documents that establish both identity and employment eligibility (List A).  A number of documents which were previously acceptable will now be disallowed. The revised I-9 form, instructions, and additional information can be found at www.uscis.gov.

SkillSpan Staffing and The Staffing Factor Merge to form FirstStaff

Effective January 1, 2007, SkillSpan Staffing and The Staffing Factor joined to form a new corporation, FirstStaff, Inc. While new in name, FirstStaff ownership, management and staff collectively represent a strong and established dedication to the staffing industry. Ed and Steve Schulte have a prestigious and renowned history and are highly respected in the business community in Arkansas. The Schulte’s first staffing business venture was ProStaff, initially founded by Ed in 1973 and joined in 1987 by Steve. ProStaff operated 25 branches across Arkansas and was one of the initial staffing companies to execute a merger and public offering that formed Staffmark, Inc. in 1996. Rhonda Houser, Gail Eads, and Jason and Robert Daugherty together bring an additional sixty-plus years of staffing and human resource management experience, most recently in a Northwest Arkansas-based company, The Staffing Factor. Add the talents of Holley Little, Bobbe Bennett, and many additional staffing specialists at each branch location, and the result, FirstStaff, is your first choice for staffing services.
